Dhaka, Bangladesh
Within the first few hours of touching down in Dhaka, jet-lag be damned, we were out trolling sari stores. (God forbid you wear the same thing to any of the 23784 weddings you attend.) Normally I might throw a minor fit at the thought of spending so many hours staring at long pieces of fabric, however I soon remembered just how fun those long pieces of fabric can be to photograph. Wedding season is both the most fun and the most social, and not having been to Dhaka since the year before last, I was ready to jump in and run around like a crazed person, which happens to be the behavior that the season requires.
Jewelry shopping is a favorite pastime for many (if not all of) the females in my family, and one I will happily participate in. I prefer to engage in the method by photographing as I try on as many things as I can grab. I'm like a seagull in that I fiend sparkly things; I am not like a seagull in that I don't poop on cars.
